John Rountree, 56, a native of Crawfordsville, died suddenly Wednesday night at the Catholic Church in Dixon, Ill. His parents were Joe and Rebecca Hastaday Rountree. They moved away from Crawfordsville about a half-century ago. The survivors include the wife; three sons; two daughters; the parents, who live in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and two sisters, Josephine Rountree of Newark Ohio, and Clementine Rountree, who resides with the parents in Ft. Lauderdale. Mrs. Ben Wilhite of Crawfordsville is an aunt. Several cousins also reside in this community. Funeral services have not been completed.
